Residential Monitor

The Residential Monitor observes and interacts with clients in an inpatient substance use disorder treatment facility. This position is required to be awake and alert at all times during the hours of scheduled duties, is responsible for the clients' safety and well-being and ensures clients adhere to the weekly group schedule. The Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides counseling to eligible children, adolescents and adults with severe mental illness as identified by the State assessment tool using the state's approved curriculum for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). This position provides direct psychotherapy treatment, performs client psychosocial assessments, develops treatment plans, guides the treatment process, develops exit plans, provides psychological and emotional support to patients, adheres to client confidentiality standards, and provides training in trauma informed therapy. The Therapist identifies the nature of the presenting problem and the service and support the needs of the individual, including locating and coordinating services and supports to prevent or manage a mental health crisis. Services are provided face-to-face and via telehealth methods.
