The ECI Secretary assists managers and staff to organize the workday so all staff can work in the most efficient manner. This position answers phones, directs calls, organizes documents and files, greets clients and guests, documents financial information, assists with division projects and tasks, provides data entry, runs reports to assist with quality assurance, and maintains the electronic medical records.

The IDD Service Coordinator monitors the care and services provided to intellectually and developmentally delayed (IDD) individuals to ensure they are living their best possible life. This position provides assessment of needs, development of service plans, facilitating service linkages, and provision of crisis intervention/prevention supports. The IDD Service Coordinator advocates for the individual to ensure optimum quality of life. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, complete required documentation and the ability to maintain a positive relationship with clients, families and service providers.

The EIS Team Lead ensures Early Intervention Specialists (EIS) provide required quality services to children birth to 3 years of age and their families in the home and community. This position provides guidance and support to EIS staff and assists the ECI Director and Deputy ECI Director as needed. This position supervises Early Intervention Specialists.

The Community Health Worker (CHW)/Promotora will work directly with individuals who reside in Rural Border communities who are at risk or use substances and help facilitate increased linkage and retention in substance use, mental health, and medical services for Texas residents. This position will be required to obtain Texas Department of State Health Services CHW certification within 6 months from hire date.

The Criminal Justice Team Leader supervises the Texas Correctional Office for Offenders with Medical and Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI) program staff, with the goal to prevent re-arrest and/or re-incarceration of offenders living with the risk of chronic diseases related to stress, anxiety and substance abuse. This is achieved by providing pre-release screening and referral to aftercare treatment services for offenders with mental illness referred from the criminal justice system.

The Mental Health Clinic Secretary manages the mental health clinic front lobby and reception area and provides clerical support to clinical staff. This position will perform general clerical duties including answering phones, taking messages, and handling all aspects of appointments. The Mental Health Clinic Secretary also functions as the medical records clerk and backs up the Financial Support Clerk.

The Accounting Clerk processes payroll and mileage for all employees, including reviewing timesheets, entering employee data, and making adjustments. This position reconciles invoices and manages the agency's cell phones. The Accounting Clerk maintains financial records in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

The ACT Case Manager assists individuals with severe or chronic mental illness by using a team approach to provide treatment, rehabilitation and support services. This position provides, coordinates and delivers rehab services including medication training and psychosocial rehab. The ACT Case Manager assists individuals with obtaining transportation and/or translation for the purposes of accessing services. This position provides services to help individuals with mental illness maintain in the community, help prevent hospitalization, and help maintain mental health stability.

The Nurse Practitioner or MD/DO provides psychiatric services to chronically mentally ill patients in the Bridges clinics by performing evaluations, medication maintenance and monitoring, hospital consultations, crisis intervention, and documentation. This position facilitates Medicaid eligibility determinations, makes referrals for and coordinates and monitors the delivery of Medicaid services. The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical supervision and guidance to case management and other direct care staff.

The Early Intervention Specialist (EIS) provides comprehensive assessments, interventions and support for children birth to 3 years old with developmental delays or disabilities. This position provides in-home/community-based specialized skills training services as prescribed on the child/family's Individualized Family Service Plan (ISFP) and accurately documents the services concurrently. This position educates the families and trains them on techniques on how to have their child reach a certain developmental goal while incorporating other areas of development. The EIS works closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families served.

The Mental Health Court Case Manager assists individuals with mental illness involved in the mental health court with treatment, rehabilitation, and support services. This is achieved by providing individuals with resources, education and crisis prevention through coordination with the court, judge, probation offices, and direct care staff.

The Medical Assistant Specialist is responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties for both the Primary Care and Bridges Behavioral Health clinics. This position will answer phones, schedule medical appointments, take messages, data enter notes, contact clients to notify of pending appointments, pull records for staff, screen charts for deficiencies, file/scan forms to charts, perform benefits eligibility determination, obtain authorizations, post payments/charges, and accurately process third party billing activity. The Medical Assistant Specialist will coordinate basic medical and non-medical aspects of a patient's treatment by triaging, preparing and sanitizing patient rooms for use, performing basic laboratory procedures/tests, conducting comprehensive medical history interviews with individuals with mental illness, and educating and managing medications with provider instructions.

The Nurse is responsible for managing the individualized client care for individuals with severe mental illness by promoting and restoring patients' health through the nursing process. This is achieved through collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members and providing physical and psychological support to patients. The Nurse assists to help reduce symptoms, increase patient functioning, and/or discharge them from active treatment to enhance their health and wellbeing.

The MST Therapist is responsible for providing evidence-based intensive family and community-based treatment for at-risk youth with intensive needs and their families. MST intervention is a short-term (three to five months), intensive, and community-based clinical intervention aimed at promoting pro-social behavior and interrupting the child's involvement with the juvenile justice system. MST is non-traditional as services are delivered in the child's community and home instead of in an office setting. MST addresses the core causes of delinquent and antisocial conduct by identifying key drivers of the behaviors through an ecological assessment of the child.

The Systems Administrator manages the substantial infrastructure of on-site and off-site system assets. This position ensures operating functionality (upkeep, configuration and optimum uptime) for workstations and servers. The Systems Administrator explores new and changing technology to ensure the agency realizes best practices, cybersecurity and automation solutions.

The OSAR (Outreach, Screening, Assessment, and Referral) Substance Abuse Counselor conducts daily screenings, either face-to-face or telephonically, for clients seeking Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment and makes appropriate referrals for services such as SUD treatment, mental health treatment, medical services, recovery support services, HIV/TB/STD testing, Tobacco Cessation, and all other appropriate referrals per client needs. Assessments are conducted if a client is referred outside of Health Region 9.

The Substance Abuse Counselor provides counseling services to adult women who are seeking outpatient treatment for substance use disorder. This position provides screenings to determine eligibility or referral and comprehensive assessments based on the DSM-5 criteria and State standards. The Counselor provides individualized trauma-informed and gender-specific treatment services that facilitate recovery from substance use disorders to a specialized population of women with children, including group counseling, individual counseling, and education.

The Residential Monitor observes and interacts with clients in an inpatient substance use disorder treatment facility. This position is required to be awake and alert at all times during the hours of scheduled duties, is responsible for the clients' safety and well-being and ensures clients adhere to the weekly group schedule.
