The CCRS provides prevention and intervention services for individuals who chronically use emergency services to ensure their access to behavioral health care and to reduce the risk of law enforcement and justice system involvement. The CCSR is responsible for continuity of care following stabilization in the community, hospital transport, or emergency detention.

The Educational Resource Clinician is responsible for increasing awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders within the school districts covered by Region 18 Education Service Center. This position will assist school personnel with implementing initiatives related to mental health and substance use disorders. The Clinician will ensure local school personnel are aware of best practices and evidence-based curriculum for mental health promotion and intervention, substance abuse prevention and intervention, and suicide prevention as well as resources and services available for prevention, treatment and recovery for mental health or substance use.


The Director of Information Technology empowers PermiaCare staff to do their work well by providing technology, reports, training and support. In addition to being the Center's primary source of knowledge for the EHR, the Director of Information Technology supervises the IT team and provides project management for major IT initiatives. Frontier Crisis Response Specialist

The Crisis Response Specialist is responsible for response to mental health crisis calls from Law Enforcement, Emergency Room, and the PermiaCare Crisis Hotline. This position provides emergency services to individuals in the community by defining presenting concerns, assessing needed interventions, initiating appropriate crisis intervention services, resolving crisis situations, and facilitating entrance into Crisis respite facilities when appropriate. The Crisis Response Specialist is responsible for ensuring persons in crisis are treated in the least restrictive and most appropriate environment. This position develops and maintains positive working relationships with law enforcement, hospital personnel and the judiciary.


The Substance Abuse Counselor provides counseling services to adults who are seeking outpatient treatment for substance use disorder. This position provides screenings to determine eligibility or referral and comprehensive assessments based on the DSM-5 criteria and State standards. The Counselor provides individualized trauma-informed treatment services that facilitate recovery from substance use disorders to adults, including group counseling, individual counseling, and education.


The Medical Assistant Specialist is responsible for facilitating basic medical and non-medical aspects of a patient's treatment at the Mental Health Clinic. This is achieved through collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members and providing physical and psychological support to patients. The Medical Assistant Specialist collects and maintains record of a patient's vitals, height, weight, and BMI. This position provides the physician with data to appropriately treat patients on anti-psychotic medications to reduce symptoms, achieve a higher level of functioning and/or discharge from active treatment.
